How to do a Status Check in Jurassic World Evolution 2
The first thing you’ll need to do is build a Response Center for $100,000. You’ll gain access to this early on in the game, no matter if you’re playing in Campaign mode, Challenge mode, or Choas Theory mode. The Response Center is more the nexus of your park than the Control Center, and you can build multiples of these across your park.
Once that’s constructed, you’ll have access to Ranger Teams. The Response Center starts with one Ranger Team in most cases and will have to be upgraded to add more. You can have a total of 2 Ranger Teams after researching the Additional Vehicle upgrade in the Infrastructure node.
Next, build your enclosures and add dinosaurs either through Expeditions or via the Hatchery. When dinos first enter their pens, you usually won’t be able to see their comfort needs. This can also happen if they haven’t had a status check in a while. Dinosaurs that need a status check will have a binoculars icon above them.
There are two ways to perform a status check on a dinosaur:
Manual status check: You take control of the Ranger Team jeep and drive it into the enclosure. Enter Aim Mode to point your binoculars at a dinosaur. A blue circle will appear around the dinosaur once you get close enough. Press the “Use Equipment” button when prompted. You can drive while looking through binoculars. Automatic status check: This is done automatically by the A. I. You can select a Ranger Team and choose Add Task, then click on the dinosaurs you need to perform a status check on. Or you can add Ranger Posts to each enclosure, then assign Ranger Teams to them. Teams will automatically patrol to and from these Posts in the order you’ve assigned them.
Diagnosing sickness, injury, or another ailment can be done by Ranger Teams during a status check. Instead, detecting ailments and healing dinos is the job of the MVU from the Paleo-Medical Facility.
There isn’t anything else to know about how to perform a status check of your dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2. It’s a simple enough process but incredibly important to the longevity of your park and generating the necessary appeal to take it from no stars to 5 stars.
