Trucks have begun stacking the raw petroleum from the oil fields in Kirkuk governorate in northern Iraq, Jordan’s Pastor of Energy Saleh Kharabsheh said in a proclamation.

The service said that Jordan imported around 2.525 million barrels of oil from Iraq between September 2021 and July 2022, Xinhua news organization announced.

Under an update of understanding endorsed in 2021, Jordan imports around 10,000 barrels each day from Iraq, in view of the month to month normal cost of Brent raw petroleum less $16 per barrel to cover the distinction in quality and transportation costs.

The 10,000 barrels cover around 7% of Jordan’s day to day needs, as indicated by the service.
